Area churches present living re-enactments of the events surrounding the birth of Jesus.
The PIlgrimage of the Light takes place on December 6th at the Father Padilla Park in Herington.
Cars drive through a luminaria lined path and have an audio and visual presentation of 5 different scenes surrounding the birth of Jesus.
In addition, the churches are providing a community soup supper at the Catholic Church parish hall at 712 North Broadway. Donations are accepted at either event. Cash donations go toward the Angel Tree project. Food donations go to the Family Resource Exchange.
The Soup Supper will be serving from 4:30-6:30. The PIlgrimage is from 6:00-7:30.
This is a great way to bring your family and friends to enjoy a hot meal and fellowship, help others in the community, and turn our eyes toward the real meaning of Christmas!
