The Salina Symphony, a regional orchestra located in north-central Kansas, is announcing auditions for the 2026-2027 season. Auditions for the following Salina Symphony positions will be held Wed., Sept. 2, and Thurs., Sept. 3, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Symphony Rehearsal Hall, 132 S. 5 th St.: principal flute, principal oboe, principal bassoon, interim principal trombone, trombone II, principal violin II, principal cello, and section strings. Thursday, September 3, 2026 is the monthly meeting of the Abilene Christian Women’s Connection, operating under the guidelines of Stonecroft Ministries. This group brings fellowship and friendship to ladies of all ages. These monthly gathering are nondenominational and all are invited and welcome to join in this gathering. Emmanuel Church is the location for the monthly meeting. It is located at - 1300 N. Vine Street- Abilene – 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM. Costs is $6.
