First Annual Zach Scheiman Memorial Wings of Rescue Flight

The event will take place at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, at the south end of the Garden City Regional Airport. Shelter animals will arrive in a ceremonial procession led by local first responders before boarding a Wings of Rescue flight to partner rescue organizations.

We are also excited to announce that Baywatch star David Chokachi, a dedicated supporter of Wings of Rescue and its lifesaving mission, will join this year’s commemorative flight in Garden City.

This meaningful event will give shelter pets a second chance at finding forever homes while honoring Zach Scheiman’s legacy of service, compassion, and love for animals.
