On Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at 6:00PM, the 1 st Infantry Division “Big Red One” Band from Fort Riley will be performing a free concert at the historic Brown Grand Opera House in downtown Concordia (310 W 6 th Street, Concordia, KS) following POW Camp Concordia’s Annual Victory Day.

.The 1st Infantry Division “Big Red One” Band is the musical ambassador of the longest continuous servicing division in the regular Army. Stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, the 38-member ensemble provides musical support to the First Infantry Division as well as performing in communities around the region. This will be a delightful concert for the entire community.
Donations will be accepted to benefit the Brown Grand and POW Camp Concordia. Brown Grand Executive Director, Melissa Swenson states, “We are thrilled to have the 1 st Infantry Division Band back at the Brown Grand for a performance.
