Zion Lutheran church Chartering Service & Ceremony

The worship service will feature Rev. Justin Panzer, president of the Kansas District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, as guest preacher. Rev. William Wingfield, former music instructor at Kansas State University, will serve as organist, and Rev. Timothy Koch, Vacancy Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, will be the liturgist. The service is expected to last approximately one hour and will be followed by a reception with cake and coffee in the parish hall. Attendance is free and open to all. Guests are encouraged to arrive five to ten minutes early; business casual attire is recommended. The service welcomes all, including families with young children.

Established in 2016, Zion Lutheran Church is a Missouri Synod church plant in Concordia, Kansas. Zion Lutheran Church is a confessional Lutheran congregation committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serving the Concordia community. Operating in the historic former Epiphany Episcopal Church building, Zion seeks to be a spiritual home where faith, grace, and mercy are shared for all generations.
